The Scottsdale Gastropub and Hotspot is Also Unveiling Two New Brews
Craft 64 just recently celebrated its two year anniversary in Old Town Scottsdale. The gastropub specializing in fresh, local ingredients for its wood-fired pizzas, salads, sandwiches and appetizers has been receiving rave reviews from local, regional and national publications. Now, Travel Channel has named Craft 64 as a one of its favorite Scottsdale spots!
Just in time for the big heat up in the Valley, Craft 64 will be debuting two new beers. “We have a cucumber wheat beer coming next month and we’re going to call it, ‘Mr. Big,’” says Owner and Brew Master at Craft 64, James Swann. Mr. Big will be replacing the Wicked Winter Ale, which was a seasonal brew in late 2016. “We also have an unfiltered Vermont style IPA that has already been brewed and will be here shortly,” Swann says.
Swann will be having a two-year anniversary celebration, but it will take place in May 2017. “We opened on March 8, 2015, but we didn’t do our grand opening until May, so that’s when we’ll do our party,” he says.
“The newest pizza is called ‘The Popeye,’ adds Swann. “That pizza has fresh organic garlic, and fresh, locally sourced organic spinach with our signature pepperoni.” Other outstanding pizzas include the Margarita, the Blanco (one of Craft 64’s most popular) and the Spain.
Whether you go for the food and stay for the beer or vice versa, you’ll be glad that you visited Craft 64. Cleverly named for the fact that there are 64 ounces in a growler of beer (and yes, they do fill growlers), Craft 64 effectively merges at the intersection of gastropub, wine bar and artisan pizzeria. You will also enjoy the camaraderie and atmosphere that lives in Craft 64 as it is located in the second oldest home in Scottsdale. Come and find out what all the buzz is about at Craft 64!
