OdySea Aquarium is Now ‘O-FISH-ially’ Open
OdySea is now “o-FISH-ially” open for business in Scottsdale, just off the 101 and Via De Ventura. Although there is still some construction going on in surrounding buildings, there is a several hour watery adventure that awaits you! The highly anticipated grand opening of OdySea has been met with crowds of people and is perfect for every member of the family.
One of the most surprising things about OdySea is how much there is to do there. Situated right next to Butterfly Wonderland, the massive aquarium actually sets within a larger complex that will soon be home to multiple restaurants and retail and specialty stores. Additionally, the OdySea Mirror Maze is also on the property.

There are a few bonus features that are available to OdySea guests, too. Your photo will be taken when you first walk in and you’ll have the opportunity to buy that image at the end of your visit. There is a huge gift shop with souvenirs, clothing and some upscale items available, also. Grab a bite to eat at the Lighthouse Café and don’t miss the café’s massive display wall boasting various water-themed movie posters from films released in the last 50 years.
Available at an additional cost are a fun behind-the-scenes tour of OdySea. Or, don a special SeaTrek helmet and walk in one of the underwater environments! If you want meet the penguins up-close-and-personal, that experience is available, too. Those attractions do cost additional money, but where else in Arizona would you find these unique ocean experiences? In any instance, be prepared to spend a minimum of two hours enjoying the OdySea Aquarium as there is much to see and do.
